Monchengladbach confident Liverpool, Dortmund target Nordtveit will sign new deal

Borussia Monchengladbach's director of sport Max Eberl believes Havard Nordtveit will soon pen a new contract with the club.

The 25-year-old Norway international is out of contact in the summer and has emerged on the radar of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks.

However, Eberl is confident that Gladbach will secure the defensive midfielder who spent time at Arsenal earlier in his career before arriving at Stadion im Borussia-Park in 2011.

"We made him a very, very good offer and I am still optimistic that we, can hold (onto him)," Eberl told Bild.

Nordtveit has been an integral part of Gladbach's side this season, starting 20 matches in all competitions for Andre Schubert.
