Misbehaved Liverpool fans could land club in hot water with UEFA

Liverpool could be punished by UEFA for the behaviour of the club's supporters during the return leg of their Europa League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday.

BBC Radio 5 Live reporter Ian Dennis claims Reds supporters threw seats at United fans following the 1-1 draw, which saw the Merseyside club side progress through to the quarterfinals 3-1 on aggregate.

"I have seen three red seats from the Liverpool section being thrown into the Manchester United fans. Seats are being thrown," Dennis said.

"Uefa will take action - mark my words.

"There are about 10 Liverpool supporters sat on the front row of the top tier and there is a human wall of police officers in luminous clothing protecting the Liverpool fans sat in the Manchester United end."
