Milner pleased to get win despite subpar Liverpool performance

James Milner was thrilled with Liverpool's 1-0 win over Swansea City on Sunday.

The Reds ground out a narrow victory to make it two in a row in the Premier League at Anfield and despite it being a real struggle for much of the encounter, midfielder Milner was over the moon with the result.

"It wasn't the prettiest of games and we didn't play well, but we got the win and I think that's what good teams do," said Milner.

"It was tough conditions and tough for both teams, but it was all about getting the three points."

Milner scored the only goal of the contest in the form of a 62nd-minute penalty after Swans defender Neil Taylor had been penalised for handling the ball from a Jordon Ibe cross.
