Mike Tresor insists Burnley can upset Tottenham

Burnley winger Mike Tresor insists they can upset Tottenham in tonight's FA Cup clash.

Tresor hopes to see action for the Clarets.

He told the club's website: “I'm really, really excited. Especially as it could be my first time playing in the FA Cup.

“The competition is massive and I think every team from the lower leagues to the top understand what it means and try compete to their best.

“You see many teams every season, who get to a certain stage of the competition that they maybe didn't expect and it's good to see any team can beat any team.

“It's great exposure for the smaller teams that manage to get through to the next rounds and maybe get on TV. I'm really looking forward to potentially playing in the competition."

Tresor added: “I wasn't there for the first game when they played at Turf Moor. So, I'm really excited to go play there and at that stadium.

“I think we are in a better place now and for sure have more confidence to show what we're capable of.

“They (Spurs) have had a really good start to the season and they're still doing well now. I think they're a big team, have a lot of quality players and they're building with a new coach too.

“I expect from them a lot of intensity, counter and offensive play and they will be really confident, but like I said we also have confidence from previous games and we have shown what we can do recently.

“It's just on us to show them and go down there to do our best and hopefully come away with a place in the next round."
