Middlesbrough chief Keith Lamb says they're desperate to keep hold of winger Stewart Downing.

"We have never had an offer of £12m for Stewart and we haven't put a value on him because we don't want to lose him," Lamb told TFMRadio. "We will move heaven and earth to keep him.

"We made Stewart a substantial offer, considerably more than he is on now. Stewart has made it clear he doesn't want to leave. I'm certain that we will get round the table and solve it."
