Middlesbrough have made a bid for Atalanta midfielder Marten De Roon.

The young Dutchman has been linked with AC Milan this past season.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport says Boro have tabled a €15 million offer for De Roon.

Boro are also offering the midfielder a four-year contract.

The Teessiders are getting a clear run at De Roon as delays continue over Milan's Chinese buyout.
