NBA superstar LeBron James has revealed that he is interested in investing in David Beckham's MLS club-owning venture.
The former Manchester United and LA Galaxy ace is still working on a new franchise to play in Miami and James, who has led the Miami Heat to back-to-back NBA championships, says he could be a chance of getting involved.
"There's some interest on both sides," he said.
"David has become a good friend of mine over the last few years. I think it would be great for this city to have a football club for sure. There's interest on both sides but it's preliminary talks."
And James, who is a minor owner of Liverpool, added that he feels Miami would be a great place for a professional soccer team to call home.
"The research is still being made out," he added. "I think it could be huge. You never know.
"I think this is a great town for soccer. There's a lot of soccer players, there's great youth soccer players here and people love the city as well. That definitely would help."
