Jeremy Menez admits Roma's players were distraught after their defeat to Sampdoria.

The setback sees Roma hand the Serie A leadership back to Inter Milan.

Menez said: "Obviously there is a lot of disappointment in the dressing room for this result. We were all very silent, even if we still believe a little.

"It was an unfortunate game decided by some unfavourable refereeing decisions.

"Anyway, we must remember that at the beginning of the year we would have settled for this position."
