Felipe Melo is seeking a fresh chance under new Juventus coach Gigi del Neri. The former Fiorentina midfielder has been branded a flop after a disappointing first season in Turin.
"I want to stay with Juve and next season I will do well," claimed Melo.
"I come back here with the best of intentions. I want to make up for my errors and won't fall for it again. I owe it to this club, my teammates and the fans.
"Even when I was away I received calls of support from Turin. I wasn't alone because I felt part of a group here.
"Beppe Marotta told me to be calm because the club had faith in me. I will thank them on the pitch by having a great season.
Del Neri agreed with Melo and will give the boy another chance this season.
"He is a talented player and I wouldn't swap him for someone of the same level," noted the former Sampdoria boss. "We will give him a chance. He is an important player for us but he has to behave like one too."
