Southampton's Alex McCarthy and Leicester City's Daniel Iversen are both being linked with Premier League returns.

Crystal Palace, who have struggled to secure transfer targets this summer, are eager to sign the pair.

Per The Mail, veteran boss Roy Hodgson wants to replace Vincente Guaita in goal.

The latter has refused to play for the club, which Hodgson confirmed to reporters.

Hodgson said: “Guaita is disenchanted with the club. So he has made it clear that he would like to move on and he's refusing to play. It's up to the club to decide, not him."

The Spanish shot stopper was selected in only one of the club's last 12 Premier League games last term.
