Gary McAllister is leaving Aston Villa.
New Villa manager Alex McLeish confirmed yesterday McAllister was leaving the club but Gordon Cowans was remaining as one of his first team coaches.
Former Liverpool and Leeds United star McAllister joined Villa as part of Gerard Houllier's backroom team.
The Scot took charge of the team in the final weeks of the season following Houllier's health scare.
