Matt Phillips says he's determined to prove his class at West Brom.
The 25-year-old winger finally joined the Baggies today on a four-year deal after completing a £5m move from Queens Park Rangers.
Asked if his job was to entertain the fans, the Aylesbury-born speed merchant said: “Definitely, that's part and parcel of my game. I carry the ball and I'm an attacking player.
“I like to beat a man, get crosses in the box. I still feel I need to add more goals but I'm here to learn. Hopefully I can do that here and really push on."
He knows the supporters will be pinning their hopes on him going forward but the winger is also keenly aware of his defensive duties under Tony Pulis.
“On the other side of it I know how the manager plays and I know he's going to want me to defend as well," he admitted.
“It will be tough but I can't wait to get going and get in amongst it."
