Mathias Jensen hails Brentford 'fighting spirit' for victory over Liverpool

Mathias Jensen hailed Brentford's "fighting spirit" for victory over Liverpool.

The Bees defeated Liverpool 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday to extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

“We're on a great run and teams are fearing us a bit, which is fantastic," said Jensen to the club's website.

“We know that Liverpool are very good on the ball, but with the fighting spirit we have, especially at home when the fans get going, we are hard to play against. That's why we came out with the win."

Jensen provided the assist for Brentford's second goal, crossing beautifully for Yoane Wissa to nod past Alisson.

“It was good," Jensen said with a smile when asked about his cross.

“We always talk about filling out the box with people. If we can then cross first time, it's very hard to defend. We talk a lot about it, so after two disallowed goals it was fantastic to see."
