Matheus Cunha: Having full week with Lopetegui perfect for Wolves players

Premier League side Wolves will benefit from having a week off to train with manager Julen Lopegetui.

Much like every other English side, Wolves have faced a heavy fixture list since the World Cup concluded.

Attacker Matheus Cunha, who arrived from Atletico Madrid in the winter, believes the days off will do them good.

Asked about the break, per Express and Star, Cunha said: “It's perfect, it will be very important for us to understand the mentality of the coach.

“We have very good staff who always create a very good plan for us.

“With new players, we need to understand it a little bit more to do everything that the coaches want.

“If we can put it on to the pitch, we can win the next games. We need time to adapt and we can come to the next game much better."
