Olympique Marseille are watching closely Olivier Giroud's situation at Chelsea.
OM chief Andoni Zubizarreta has expressed interest in bringing Giroud, who is off contract in June, back to France this summer.
However, with Chelsea hit by a transfer ban for this summer's window, Le 10 Sport says they intend to trigger a 12 month option in the deal.
And even if Giroud pushes to leave, it will still mean OM needing to cough up a fee for the veteran.
Along with OM, Lyon are also interested in the World Cup winner.
