Chelsea star Marcos Alonso has named the one teammate he wished had never left the club.

Alonso has been with the Blues for a few years, and he has seen some of his teammates move on to other adventures.

And he was asked about those who he wished were still at the club.

During a social media Q&A, Alonso said on the matter: "The beast himself and my good friend, Diego Costa."

Costa was a key player for Chelsea, and helped them win the Premier League under both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

But the Italian was not a fan of his antics, and reportedly told him in the summer via text message that he was not in his plans any longer.

A protracted transfer to Atletico Madrid was completed in 2017.
