Manchester United hero Ryan Giggs says winning the Carling Cup will be a big career benefit for Danny Welbeck, Ben Foster and Darron Gibson.

Giggs told the United Review: "Absolutely. We were playing against Tottenham, who are a top team, and it was a tough game. That will have prepared them for the big games that are still to come. And the experience of playing at Wembley will help them handle the pressure that comes with that.

"You're under the spotlight as a youngster and you have to be able to handle the stuff that comes off the field as much as the pressure on the pitch."
