Manchester United are in no rush to extend Kobbie Mainoo's contract, despite his meteoric rise.
Mainoo was only introduced into the first team when the summer pre-season tour of the United States started.
He was then injured, but has since come back and become a regular starter for his club.
Per the Manchester Evening News, tentative talks are underway over a new contract.
However, the recent England cap earner will have to wait for some time before a finalized deal.
United are said to have other priorities heading into the summer window, including new signings and the future of manager Erik ten Hag.
