Manchester United U18 thumped home eight goals today against Middlesbrough.

United sit top of the Premier League northern section and can win the title next week if Manchester City do not win their final match of the season.

Neil Ryan's side thrashed Middlesbrough 8-1 on Saturday afternoon, with Zidane Iqbal opening the scoring before Dillon Hoogewerf netted a brace at the end of the first half.

Charlie McNeill, who is the top scorer in the league, added another in first-half injury time.

Hoogewerf completed his hat-trick after the break, before a consolation goal from Middlesbrough was soon followed by another from McNeill.

The United forward completed his hat-trick for his 24th league goal of the season before Hoogewerf netted his fourth of the afternoon to complete the rout.
