Manchester United have received a boost in their bid to hire Paul Mitchell this summer.
The sporting director is being relieved of his duties at Monaco, per French reports.
Mitchell, who has worked at Southampton and Tottenham with Mauricio Pochettino, has a great reputation in England.
He is also close with current United interim coach Ralf Rangnick.
L'Equipe in France states that Mitchell is set to leave Monaco as they make widespread changes within their organisation.
Mitchell, vice-president Oleg Petrov and manager Philippe Clement are all likely to leave in the near future.
