Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is set to fly to Dubai to continue his recovery from a knee injury in a warmer climate.
The Daily Mail is reporting Louis van Gaal granted Rooney permission to travel to the popular Middle Eastern destination with his wife Coleen, after it was revealed the 30-year-old does not require surgery on his right knee.
It was originally feared Rooney could be in doubt for England's Euro 2016 campaign after the Three Lions' captain damaged ligaments in the Red Devils' loss to Sunderland last month.
However, it is understood Rooney could now be back in action for United later this month, with a week of rest and recovery in Dubai a key aspect of that timeline.
