Manchester United aim to announce the signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho by the weekend.

The Manchester Evening News says Sancho has effectively completed his £72.9milliom transfer to United, with an announcement to confirm the transfer scheduled for this week.

Sancho, 21, arrived at United's Carrington training complex on Tuesday for a medical and posed for promo shots that have become obligatory for any new signing.

England international Sancho is due to be off for three weeks following the end of the European Championship and could make his United bow at Old Trafford in their final pre-season friendly against Everton on August 7.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaching staff will then have a full week of training with Sancho to prepare him for a possible official debut against Leeds on August 14.
