Man Utd playmaker van de Beek nets in huge Netherlands win

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek put his club woes to the side as he scored for his national team Netherlands.

Van de Beek has struggled at United since signing from Ajax in the summer, not starting as many games as he would have preferred.

But he was involved for Holland in a 7-0 drubbing of Gibraltar on Tuesday night.

23-year-old van de Beek came off the bench in the game and scored the sixth goal in the 7-0 win for his team.

The Dutch now have two wins in their past two matches, which somewhat erases their disappointment at losing the opening World Cup Qualifier away to Turkey.

Van de Beek will be hoping he can earn a recall into the United team for their Premier League clash against Brighton on Sunday.
