Man Utd playing 'chicken' with Rennes over Camavinga price

Manchester United are ready to play 'chicken' with Rennes over the sale of Eduardo Camavinga.

United are hoping to drive down Camavinga's price by testing Rennes' patience up until the deadline. The midfielder has less than a year to run on his contract, with Rennes publicly announcing he can be sold this summer.

The Athletic reports United are willing to wait it out in order to get a cheaper deal.

It's a sizable risk however, with a host of Europe's top clubs chasing Camavinga's signature.

Real Madrid and PSG are both believed to be monitoring the situation and there is a feeling that the player himself would prefer a move to Spain.
