Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley hopes to be involved for England in their friendly against Scotland.
Cleverley believes old rivals Scotland can help the team prepare for those crucial games by giving them a tough battle at Wembley tomorrow.
"I know the Scots will be up for it - I don't think it will be a friendly, for sure!" said the midfielder, who was speaking at an event for Vauxhall - the England team sponsor.
"They have got some players we know from the Premier League and they are coming off the back of a great win over Croatia in their last game.
"It will be a high-intensity game and the fans will be up for it.
"There will be a good atmosphere and it's the perfect preparation ahead of the qualifiers next month and October.
"It's important to win, not just because it's always nice for England to beat Scotland, but also for our confidence.
"We can also put on a good performance and give ourselves heart for the qualifiers.
"We can't afford to lose any of them - and we've definitely got to win our three home games."
