Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says young defensive duo Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are making good progress in their recovery from injury.

Fosu-Mensah has yet to feature this season, while Tuanzebe has been out since December.

"[Axel and Tim] are getting close to a Reserves match or a behind-closed-doors match," said Solskjaer.

"We need them to play in that kind of game before we use them in the first team.

Asked about his squad to face Club Brugge on Thursday, he added: "We had a couple of knocks in training but hopefully they'll be okay.

"We've got a strong and fit 25-man squad and it was a good session. We're looking stronger."
