Olé says United have had a 'bid rejected' by Independiente de Valle for for 15-year-old.
The Ecuardorian club produced Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
It is claimed that Independiente consider Paez as the 'jewel' in their crown and have already promoted him to the first-team squad, despite him being only 15.
