Peter Schmeichel is reportedly a shock candidate to take the Leicester City manager's job.
According to Sky Sports, the Manchester United legend has emerged as a possible contender for the King Power stadium vacancy which has been left by Nigel Pearson's recent controversial sacking.
It is believed that Denmark great Schmeichel, 51, has thrown his hat into the ring for the Foxes role which has the likes of Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill and Bolton manager Neil Lennon also linked.
If Schmeichel were to take the Leicester, he would link up with his son Kasper, who is the East Midlands club's number one goalkeeper.
