David Beckham's MLS franchise plans will need to be concrete by the end of the year in order to save more than $65million (£40m).
The former Manchester United and LA Galaxy star has plans to bring in a brand new MLS franchise in Miami but if he wants to go ahead for a cut-price $25m (£15m), he will have to lodge his proposal by the league's December 31 deadline.
The Mirror suggests that Beckham will put forward his business plan regarding sponsors and stadium ideas before the New Year with the man himself saying that details are being worked out right now.
"Hopefully there will be an announcement before the new year," said the two-time MLS Cup winner.
"We haven't announced that it's definitely going to be Miami yet but obviously I've been seen in Miami quite a few times. We're getting the details right at the moment."
