Man Utd keeper De Gea breaks Premier League record

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has broken the record for playing the most minutes in Premier League history.

The Spaniard reached the milestone during the defeat against Aston Villa on the weekend.

He has been a regular for the Red Devils since he joined the club in 2011 from Atletico Madrid for a £19million fee.

The shot-stopper has played 506 games for United, in which he has kept 174 clean sheets and against Villa he reached 35,039 minutes in the Premier League.
