Manchester United have failed with a bid for Olympique Marseille youngster Benjamin Mendy.
The Daily Express says United approached the Ligue 1 club about signing the 21-year-old as Louis Van Gaal looks to boost his attacking options.
However, new OM boss Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly told United that he considers Mendy 'untransferable'.
Mendy has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, but it seems that United are now at the forefront of English clubs who would like to sign the former Le Havre man.
