Lisandro Martinez appreciates he support of Manchester United's fans.
The former Ajax has quickly established himself as a cult hero for the United support.
Lisandro told Sky Sports: "It was very emotional for me to feel the love of the fans. I'm very happy because I come from nothing, you know, and it's really special to be able to arrive at one of the best clubs in the world.
"Sometimes you need patience, especially at the beginning we knew we didn't play as we wanted, but it's part of football. We have a new team and a new system, we must insist, even if often in football you do not have time.
"When you lose you are a poor player in a poor team, but we know what we are. Our ambition is to win titles and get Manchester United where they deserve. Idols? Mine is
Gabriel Heinze, I love him and the way he played, very aggressive and mentality in duels, in every game like a final. He was a top player, I try to play like him.
"At the moment I am a central defensive player and I feel very good about it, but I can also play in midfield or from the side. If it serves the team, I will."
