Manchester United are thinking about recalling Alvaro Fernandez from his loan at Granada.

The Red Devils sent the left-back to the struggling La Liga club for regular football.

However, he has been playing as a left-winger for most of his games for the Spanish side.

The talented full back is likely to move to Benfica on a permanent basis, as he appears unlikely to break into United's first team.

At 20, Fernandez has simply not made the level of progress United would have been anticipating.
