Manchester United U23 coach Warren Joyce is set for talks with Wigan Athletic this weekend.

The Sun says Joyce was in charge of United's under-23 side when they drew at Tottenham but will be cleared for official talks about the Latics post.

Wigan supremo David Sharpe has been given rave reviews about the long term Old Trafford backroom man who is clear favourite for the job.

United would want compensation for Joyce but it will be much less than the cost of Rangers manager Mark Warburton.

Karl Robinson is still in the frame while Steve Evans has growing support of Wigan go for experience rather than an experiment.
