Manchester United are believed to be close to signing Dani Alves from Barcelona.

Catalan newspaper Sport reports that the Red Devils are on the verge of completing a swoop for the 32-year old Brazilian full-back.

Recent reports suggested that Alves was set to re-sign with Barcelona but it is believed that United's offer far outweighs that of the Catalan giants.

Alves is out of contract in the summer but United have offered him a significant signing-on fee in a bid to lure him away from the Camp Nou.
