Man Utd chiefs agree to go for Crystal Palace dazzler Zaha

Manchester United are ready to spend big to re-sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in January.

The Sun says United are leading the race to snap up the forward in a £70million-plus deal.

Ivory Coast international Zaha endured a frustrating spell at Old Trafford after becoming Sir Alex Ferguson's final signing in 2013.

But United believe an older and wiser Zaha, 26, can be a success this time and would be prepared to pay the high fee Palace would demand if they allow him to leave Selhurst Park.

United are crying out for pace and creativity and some fans called for Zaha to come back after he put in a transfer request in August.

Palace paid as little as £4m in 2015 but United negotiated a 25 per cent share of any future sell-on profit.
