Man Utd captain Antonio Valencia training on his own - in Ecuador

Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has been training on his own - in Ecuador.

The Mirror says Valencia has been working on his fitness alone in Ecuador as he eyes a return to first-team action.

The 33-year-old right-back has fallen out of favour under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and is behind Ashley Young and Diego Dalot in the pecking order.

Valencia has made eight appearances all season and has not played since January 2, with the full-back currently sidelined with a calf injury.

Alongside clips of himself carrying out sprint and agility drills, Valencia wrote: “It's never too late to start over.

“I mean, every step of the way, I just tried to build something that would last.

“The greatest peace we find is when we try to achieve our dreams. At every stage of life we must give our best to follow."
