Man Utd boss Ten Hag responds to 'they're back' Guardiola claims

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag said he thinks it's “a little bit too quick" to label his side as having turned the corner.

Man City coach Pep Guardiola recently stated that United were “back" after their upturn in form in recent weeks.

While ten Hag is bullish about his side's improvement, as they defeated West Ham United 1-0 in the Premier League, he did not want to get carried away either.

Asked about Guardiola's praise, he stated post-game: “It's a little bit too quick."

He then added on the game: “Second half I have to be critical, we have to manage things better.

The spirit is fabulous, we have the qualities to score goals, attacking football, the effectiveness we need to improve that.

“If we keep going we're in the right direction but to track them we have a long way to go."
