Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is considering gambling on Sergio Reguilon's selection.
The left-back missed last week's defeats to Galatasaray and Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury.
The Manchester Evening News says Ten Hag is preparing for Saturday's clash with Brentford with Reguilon in mind. The manager plans to play Reguilon at left-back so Sofyan Amrabat can move into his natural midfield role. Amrabat has struggled this past week out of position at left-back.
Reguilon didn't take part in Monday's open Champions League training session. But he is understood to have since appeared on the Carrington pitches.
United do not play for two weeks after the Brentford fixture due to the international break.
