Man Utd boss Mourinho denies claims rejecting Real Madrid return

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho denies rejecting an offer to return to Real Madrid last season.

Robert Beasley, in his book 'Up Close and Personal,' shared several stories and anecdotes of the Setubal native, including an alleged offer to return to the Spanish capital in 2015 and "to go and clean it, clean s*** people like Pepe, Casillas, Ramos, Marcelo" out of the dressing room.

But Marca says the claims were soundly denied by Mourinho, who argues Florentino Perez never approached him and that he would never issue those derogatory words towards the aforementioned players, with Los Blancos dismissing the rumours as well.

Still the Chelsea coach at the time of the presumed bid from the reigning Champions League winners, Mourinho was sacked by owner Roman Abramovich midway through the 2015/16 campaign and is perhaps still struggling to assemble a well-oiled squad at Old Trafford despite several world class signings.
