Man Utd boost as Zidane goes cold on Ajax midfielder Van de Beek

Manchester United have received a boost in their interest for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

United see the Holland international as a replacement for wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba, but have faced competition from Real Madrid.

However, Le 10 Sport says Real coach Zinedine Zidane has moved to block their move for Van de Beek as he remains determined to bring Pogba to Madrid.

And even if Real fail to land Pogba, Zidane remains reluctant to go for Van de Beek.

The Frenchman feels he already has enough options in midfield, with the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Isco all available.

If United can offload Pogba, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will push for Van de Beek.
