Manchester City will not consider meeting Wolves' price for Matheus Nunes this week.
City remain keen on the midfielder after having an offer of £47m rejected by Wolves last week.
Wolves are demanding £60m to sell Nunes - a price City regard as too steep, says the Manchester Evening News.
City are in talks with Wolves today, but will walk away unless the asking price drops.
Nunes, meanwhile, has gone AWOL from training this week as he attempts to force through the transfer.
