Manchester City have submitted to Chelsea a £25 million written bid for Mateo Kovacic.

The Croatian midfielder is a key target for City boss Pep Guardiola this summer.

Kovacic would likely take the place of departing midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, despite their difference in styles.

Per Fabrizio Romano, personal terms are already agreed and Kovacic is eager to make the move.
