Manchester City striker John Guidetti is delighted with his successful playing return.

City played his first game of the season last week in victory over Reading U21s, scoring once in the 3-1 win.

"It's good to be back after such a long time without playing football," said Guidetti. "It's great that the nasty time is now behind me and I can look forward again.

"Of course it's also nice to score immediately when you return. It's true I'm happy on the field.

"I feel very good, but now we'll see how I recover this week."
