Manchester City signing Wilfried Bony hopes to make his Champions League this week.
City meet Barcelona tomorrow night.
He said: "I am not 100 per cent yet. I have only just got back from Africa, so it's normal for me to be on the bench. But it was important when I came on that I tried to do what the coach expects from me, and I tried to do that.
"I have found it difficult this week, coming from 30-35 degrees heat to zero or five degrees, so it has been good for me to take it step by step. But Tuesday is a big game, so I need to be ready for that.
"I am very excited. I can't way to get onto the pitch on Tuesday. For me, to play against Barcelona in the Champions League is a very big thing, but I aim to enjoy it.
"It's been a good few weeks for me. My country won the African Cup of Nations but now I am focused on my club and the start we had together was fantastic."
