Yaya Toure has stated that the arrivals of Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling this summer have turned Manchester City into a European powerhouse.
Following a failed title defence last term, City made a huge signal of intent this summer by splashing the cash to secure the services of the likes of De Bruyne and Sterling for a combined fee in excess of £100million.
The arrival of such talented young players has significantly strengthened City's already strong side and midfielder Toure believes that the duo has made the Citizens one of the most fearsome teams in Europe.
Toure told the Manchester Evening News: "In Africa we say it is like mayonnaise - you all blend together. To be honest, I think yes. At Sunderland we missed 11 players with injury - we have two teams!
"It is full credit to chairman who made this happen. We have a tough game coming against Tottenham and we needed this relief, and confidence coming back.
"It is difficult because we have just bought those players like De Bruyne and Sterling. We need to make sure they feel part of the team."
