Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure ha revealed that he is not a fan of pre-season training.

The Ivory Coast international admits he is thrilled to be back with the squad for summer training but says can't wait for the football season proper to start.

The 32-year-old told City TV: "I don't like pre-season to be honest but we need it. The season is going to be long.

"I am very happy to be back and working. I am looking forward, the manager is looking forward and the club is looking forward."

City begin their league campaign away to West Bromwich Albion on August 8.
