Man City secure Leeds target Tommy Doyle to new contract

Manchester City have secured Tommy Doyle to a new contract.

Doyle has snubbed interest from Leeds to sign a new five-year deal at Manchester City.

The highly-rated midfielder 18, is the grandson of club legends Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe.

Doyle made his senior City debut last October in the Carabao Cup against Southampton.

And his first Premier League appearance came against Newcastle in July.

But Doyle's impressive rise had not gone unnoticed, with Leeds keen on bringing him to Elland Road, says The Sun.

The teenager's City contract was due to expire in 2021, making him a free agent next summer.

But Pep Guardiola, said to be highly impressed with Doyle, has made sure his future remains at the Etihad by extending his deal for a further four years.
