Manchester City have joined the interest for Augsburg left back Philipp Max.

The Daily Mail says City scouts watched Max on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has been the form player in the Bundesliga and has already broken the club record for the most assists in a season with ten in 17 games.

He produced another one for yesterday's draw with Freiburg.

Max, who won a silver medal with Germany at the 2016 Olympics, has also been watched by Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton in recent games.
