Premier League leaders Manchester City are calling time on a transfer pursuit this summer.
The Citizens were hoping to add a Brazilian midfielder to their ranks from another Premier League club.
However, the Citizens are said to have ended their interest in West Ham star Lucas Paqueta.
The playmaker, per Sky Sports, is no longer a City target as the club looks to alternatives.
Paqueta is the subject of a Football Association probe into possible breaches of betting rules.
If he is found guilty, he may face a similar punishment to Ivan Toney of Brentford.
The striker received a ban of up to six months and will only be back in action in January.
